Ben and I arrived 15 minutes early and still were the last to come at the point of meeting.
Great Enthusiasm by all the 4 WD members!
7 Cars altogether
Need to whinge about the weather though ... could have been better if at least one of the tracks was open ... The view was unbealivable so I had to attach my photos
Hey, who's got the list of attendees? Was happy to see new members joining in. Wendy and Mark?
Anyone else to post their comments?

Thanks for the trip report Mariana.
On the trip we had; Ben and Jane, Mark and Arie, Dave, Mariana and Ben, Greg and Ranae, Allan, and Mark and Wendy.
I thought we were in for a good day after looking at the weather report, but I checked Qld weather and not NSW weather, D'oh
Hey, at least we got to see the tops of the clouds and not just the boring bottoms.
Basically we simply followed the main road through the border Ranges National Park. There was a side track through the Brindle Creek track, but this has been closed since the last flooding. The entrance to the track looked ok, but the exit was covered by a HUGE fallen tree and vines, etc. It looked pretty closed!
Mark found some tracks in the Mebbin State Forest (I think that was what it was called). We didn't want to have lunch in amongst the clouds and rain, but we did find a great campground and day use area in Mebbin.
I could not get over how much mud I picked up. There was a heap left over on the driveway after the wash.

It was certainly a scenic drive, and smooth enough for the 2 wheel drive vehicles. The rain ensured there was no dust, but I was amazed at how dirty the vehicles got. Worst of all, I had 45+ small stones stuck in the tread of the mud tyres. Though the kids had great fun prying them out.
By the time I arrived home, this is the dirt that was still sticking to the side of the car. Yes - those were black side steps.
The convoy with the scenic backdrop .... oh I mean cloud.
The rain forest lived up to it's name, but still was very scenic. Is that a car just ahead?
Ok - this is the photo I can have some fun with.
Feel free to add you own comments. I'll make a start.
- It takes 4 Patrols to match a Prado
- There is a spy in the Patrol camp ...
- Only 4 cars are similar .... that's right 4 have bullbars, or is it 4 are white, and what about the snorkels (yes - only 3)
But still a good trip out despite the weather.
