The scenery from the main hill was nice ... but dry.

We had a section of the campground all to ourselves.

But one of the highlights of the trip was the chimney log fire. The log was just over a metre long. It wasn't long before the inside of the log was well alight.

And the log kept burning, and the flames were spectacular.

On Sunday there were hills climbs, dodging trees while randomly driving through the forest, and some driving through a small swamp.

Dodging the trees, the smaller Prado had a much easier time.

And what creature is trying to escape that swamp?

The mud hole had far less water than our trip in March 2013.

There were bush speed bumps everywhere.

Two vehicles lining up in their lanes ready for a race???

That race must have been thirty work, so they had a drink from the local pond.

The weather was reasonably good for the long weekend, and everyone found something to challenge them. And it only took around 2 and half hours for Dave to clean the car. The car was very muddy, but still far cleaner than the trip to Levuka.
A very nice camping / driving weekend.
BTW - I almost forgot to mention. We did have a funny event. While a person in a short wheel-based vehicle manoeuvred their vehicle to drop over a log on a sideways incline, the engine stalled and the vehicle just 'fell' over the edge of the log. In the end the alignment saved the situation, but a lot of people were laughing very nervously.
