On the 5th of September the Breakaway 4x4 club went on a short trip to the Glasshouse Mountains, along for the trip was
Myself

Gary and Partner
Don and Daughter
and Michael
Unfortunately I have no photos from the day but managed to find these pics that I will take in 1 years time

We havent changed a bit....
As per usual I was the first to respond on the forum to the trip but last to arrive at Morayfield BP.
It was a magic day for a 4x4 trip, low to mid 20's and no rain.
We first entered the Glasshouse mountains through a small carpark that Dave liked so much he took us for a second look.
We eventually headed off towards Mt Tibrogargan before pulling over to air down.
Image
First job was to head down a nice narrow track with heaps of Lantana for some free pinstriping. Useful early on in a trip to see who is with us and who isnt.....
Image
This track lead us through some nice puddles to plow through and eventually on to the stairmaster where strangely enough there were no takers.
Image
Most people plowed through this one but as you can see Dave decided that he didn't want to get his passenger side tyres wet on this occasion.
Image
On the way we came to an intersection where everyone drove around the main boghole. After testing it Mark decided it was not too deep and decided to have a go. It ended up being a bit deeper than expected in the middle but he made it through with ease.
Image
After a quick lunch we all started up Pumpkins Peril where a couple of drivers at to try different lines after coming to a standstill.
Image
After Pumpkins Peril we headed off to check out big red and have a play in the playground.
Image
The cars all came out of the playground a lot dirtier than when they went in. By the look of it you would think id have gotten bogged somewhere.
Image
After this we headed for the bitumen (The long way) before airing up and heading home.

Another great day at Glasshouse Mountains

Hi Ben,

Great write-up. Yes - another good Glasshouse Mountains trip.

A couple of gold-stars had to be given out.
1) Gary for never giving up. That was a fantastic climb up that track on the "playground".
2) Ben for probably having the most fun. Lots of playing in the mud. And the Frontera just kept going. Must have been the skills of the driver. ;)

I've added a few photos below.

Excellent Trip - Thanks Dave for organizing it and all those who attended.

Thanks Ben for the fantastic trip report - great pictures too.

We had a great day.

Yes Dave the climb in the playground was rather challenging and fun. I even surprised myself that I made them both without lockers or traction control.

If you haven't been then its well worth going.

Gary

Thanks for a fun day out everyone. And it's funny how Ben never mentioned in his report what was captured in your last photo Dave. :D

Oh yeah that's right... that happened too.
Probably forgot because I had no pictures of it

All day i was asking to be pulled out of bog holes in advance because I could not be bothered getting out of the car to test them
I definitely did ask Mark to pull me out of this one too if I got stuck, to which he wholehearted said "Why Yes, of course I would be delighted to"
(or something along those lines)
Anyway, as soon as I got stuck all he did was grumble about having to get his hands and gear dirty. :D

Ben has a bit of cleaning to do after the trip.
Though he can probably top dress the lawn at the same time.

Cheers,
