Hi Members,
I'm considering a day trip to Bribie Island. It's more of a midday / early afternoon trip along the main beach to the WWII bunkers, and then a stop at "First Lagoon" to allow the kids to have a swim in the warm lagoon. The others can sit in their favourite camping chair to watch the sun set (behind us), and cook an early dinner.
Low tide should be around 2:00pm, with high tide at 8:00pm. So I'm planning to be off the beach by 6:00pm.
Where: Bribie Island
Cost: Requires a beach permit. Log into http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au book your beach permit online. A one month and one year permit is available.
When: Sunday 13th Nov 1.00pm for a 1.30pm start.
Meeting Place: Meet at the carpark just behind the BP Servo (BP, Cnr Goodwin Dve & Hornsby Rd Hornsby Road, Bribie Island QLD 4507)
UHF: Channel 13
Trip Standard: Green

I should be a starter. A Bribie run is always a very pleasant afternoon!
I'll need to confirm closer to time but it is looking good.
Cheers,
Don

I can't make this one. Have a good trip.
You wouldn't believe when my current 1 year Bribie pass runs out - yep - Saturday!
However I'll be there on Sunday with a shiny new pass!
Cheers,
Don

Actually, I just checked ours .... it expires on the Monday. But we will probably renew it within the next two weeks anyway.
My daughter Hayley and partner may be along also - in brand new 4x4 - to try it out.
Now all we need is good weather. The forecast doesn't look too good.
We can wait until Sunday morning (say 9ish) to review the weather forecast for the rest of the day.

I might come along, I'll decide on Sunday and let you know.

Well ... it's only a 60% chance of a storm, and it's warm, so we're heading up to Bribie anyway. We will aim to cook an early dinner on the beach, before aiming to start our exit at 5:30pm.
Feel free to come along if you have the time,
Cheers
