Hi All,
Another attempt to get back up to Gordon Country after rain and Covid lockdowns deferred our earlier attempts. We'll do some tracks but the major focus is camping.
A very nice spot with great camping and views just over the range from Cunninghams gap.
Bookings must be paid in full Online using their Online Reservation system and secure Payment Gateway. Guests will be automatically emailed a reservation and payment receipt. Bring that along on the Saturday.
It appears that we now have to book a particular area via the system so lets pick Banshee Valley. I'm sure we could move elsewhere if we needed to.
They close the tracks during wet weather so I'd leave the actual booking until a day or two before.
Everyone make your own bookings via their online booking system. Those with credits, bring the associated emails - or discuss via email with them prior so we show up with the right email trail from previous bookings.
There is a $30 Mandatory additional fee if you wish to do some 4WD trail driving.
Where: Gordon Country Camp Grounds (http://www.gordoncountry.com.au) Ph - (07) 4666 6179
Cost: $30 4WD fee, plus $17 per adult per night and $10 per child per night. Children up to 4 years are FREE.
When: Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June
Meeting Place: Aratula Shell at 10:00am
UHF: Channel 13
Trip Leader: Don - 0407 030 693
Gordon Country is about 70 minutes drive from Aratula.
Firewood can be collected on the property.
Please let us know if you wish to come along. It should be a great camping weekend with a good sized fire, and some nice country side. Have a look at the website for photos of the campground. A very nice place to camp - there are facilities but depending upon where we camp we may have to walk a bit to them. Take drinking water.
Cheers.

It looks like we have Cos, Dave and Chris, Keri and Paul, and Don and Tracey as starters.
Remember we are meeting at the Shell Service station at Aratula - just down the road from the Bakery. I assume Keri will meet us at Gordon Country.
I'd avoid going through Ipswich on Saturday as the Ipswich Cup is on and the main road at Bundamba will be chockers.
Also there are markets on at the Summer Land Camel Farm near Harrisville on Saturday from 8:30am. I'm not going but anyone interested may like to stop off for a quick look on the way to Aratula - it is a short detour off the Cunningham Highway. I think it is $5 parking but free entry.
Bring your winter woolies.
Cheers,
Don
