It was then time to do some wine tasting at a couple of wineries. As the sun was getting lower, we checked into the hotel. As we approached sunset, a few people drove up to My Marlay to do a small bush walk and watch the sunset.

Well, most were able to check into the hotel. But due to a naming error by the hotel, Don and Tracey ended up needing to find accommodation at a nearby hotel. But this was even closer to Anna's Restaurant where we met for dinner.

It wasn't the cheapest dinner, but was a good quality, and everyone appeared to enjoy the meal.
While still a couple of degrees above zero, David and Chris headed out to do some astrophotography in the clear and dark skies just south of Stanthorpe. David got some wide angle photos, while Chris focused on the Sculptor galaxy.

David was up at sunrise to take a few photos around the creek. The temperature was below zero, resulting in frost on the grass.

The next morning the group headed down to Wallangarra to have breakfast at the railway cafe. There we were literally on the border.

After breakfast, the group split to either check out Heavenly chocolate, the Wash Pool, etc, while others continued onto Girraween National Park. David, Melinda, Ben, Marina and all the kids went on the 1.7km walk to climb the "Pyramid". It was a steep climb, but the views from the top was fantastic and was a highlight of the weekend for many.
