Hi All,

Sorry that I've been offline for a while. I was travelling, and unfortunately had no internet access.
So Keri (and Paul?) are planning to camp at Inskip point, and Ben and Marina in a hotel at Tin Can Bay, which is close to the dolphin feeding at occurs early in the morning. Due to a knee problem, it looks like I need to avoid camping for a while. So we might stay in a hotel as well.

The Plan is to meet at the ferry on the Noosa side at 9:30am. We should be able to hit the beach by 10:00am. Low tide is around 1:30pm, so it should allow us until 3:45pm of exit the beach at Rainbow beech. Between these times we will drive up Teewah beach, stop at Red Canyon, then drive to double Island point to walk up to the light house. Assuming the weather is warm, we can have a swim at the lagoon behind Double Island point, and then drive along the coloured sands to exit at Rainbow beach before the tide gets too high.

We can then stop at Rainbow beach township for a coffee, and then walk onto Carlo Sandblow. It's only a 7 minute walk to the sandblow from the carpark, but the views are great and it's likely you'll want to walk to the edge of the sandblow.

Lunch on Saturday is likely to be on the beach at Double Island point. So please bring something for lunch.
Dinner on Saturday can be either at the café, or we can bring our food to cook (or a combination of the two). Do people have a preference?

Sunday morning we can meet at the dolphin feeding location at Tin Can Bay, and then continue to explore the area. We can plan to head home just after lunch to give people a chance to wash down their cars before sunset.

Thanks for that Dave. I am so looking forward to getting away. Paul is coming and we would certainly be into camping. Dinner Sat, preference would be to cook our own. However, subject to change based on majority votes.

Thanks Dave. Marcus and his family (Ben & Mariana's friends) are staying at Rainbow Sands Resort on Saturday night. I think I'll join Keri & Paul and camp. I've been spending way too much money on my Navarra recently. I just had electronic rust protection fitted and bought a 50l fridge as well. So I'm happy to cook my own dinner so it gives me an excuse to try out my new fridge.

Cos.

Plan A for Tracey and I will stay for dinner on Saturday before heading back in the evening. Happy with either café or cooking own.
At moment there is a possibility we may yet stay overnight but will stay at a motel if that is the case.
Looking forward to having at least the day out.
Is there any permit required for driving on the beach?
Cheers,
Don

Hi Don,
Yes - we will need to buy a one day (Saturday) beach permit to drive on the beach.

We are happy to cook our own too. From memory, the take-away shops didn't sell nice food, and the restaurants are expensive. This way we can find a scenic spot to have dinner.

I hear there is a great bakery in Rainbow beach :) Dinner, we will cook our own. Want to try out all our new equipment. The idea of finding a scenic spot and having dinner sounds inviting. Cos, when booking the campground, they don't require which area. We can check it out when we get there. Cam is also joining us for this weekend :)
See you all Sat morning bright eyed and bushy tailed

Hi All,

Unfortunately we have a couple of other events occurring Sunday now, so we will need to return Saturday night. But we can stay fairly late into the night, and I'll then drive the family home.

Dave.
