Hi Mark,
I have managed to change my plans so I will be now able to go I have booked the campsite and will be heading up on Friday possibly with Dave.
My parents are with me so I will be able to go 4x4 while they entertain Lucas and Olivia
See you all then
Louis

Given the current weather forecast for showers on Saturday and rain and 25-30 knot winds on Sunday and Monday, I am thinking that it would be appropriate to cancel the trip. What are peoples thoughts?
Re: Freshwater (Cooloola Coast) Jan 26-28
Yeah - Dave has cancelled. The local thunderstorms didn't look good either. It's been raining up there for most of the day.
But the national radar map shows the picture well. Rain and lots of it coming down the coast.
Maybe a day trip on the Saturday somewhere inland. A return to Scenic Rim has been suggested. It would be more interesting in the wet. Any other suggestions? Beach travel would be easy (too easy now), but the weather isn't good for swimming or even walking too far.

Well all the weather reports that i have seen indicate definite heavy rain and a chance of a thunderstorm on Monday.
It looks like I will probably cancel.

I know a couple of people have dropped out of the trip because of the weather forecast just to let everybody know I am still going and will head up Friday morning.
Hopefully not everybody is going to cancel and I will see some people on Saturday.

We were still keen on going right up until mark mentioned 25 - 30 knot winds.
tents(rain + wind) = bad stuff
We are going to cancel for another time.

Hi,
Yes I agree camping is out for us, (too wet) but keen on day trip. must admitt that was thinking when listening to radio on way home that a day trip to inland track to Fresh Water was the go, but Scenic rim sounds interesting for the day
Cheers Boxy
