4wd Action Amamoor trip

Did anyone see the movie with issue 178 of 4wd action? Looks pretty good.
I'd like to reconstruct their trip and do something similar. Especially "Death Hill"!
If you have seen it, lets see if we can figure where the various points of interest are.
