Queen Mary Falls/Condamine River

Post by maverick01 »

Now the club will be doing a day trip to Queen Mary Falls and Condamine Gorge on Saturday the 21st on July...............

The day will consist of some decent views of the falls and we can also have a look at daggs falls further down the road. Condamine gorge consists of 14 shallow/rocky bottomed creek crossings. Now i will double check with killarney police prior to heading out to confirm it is still open.

Where- Queen Mary Falls is located about 30kays this side of warwick and Condamine Gorge is located about half way between the 2 places.

When-21st of July

Meeting Place- Shell at Aratula at 9:00am for 9:30 departure

What to bring- Possible table and chairs for lunch as we will just take it as the day comes. Please bring food and drinks and warm clothes as it can get cold in the forest. Also possibly a rain coat incase the weather isnt on our side. ALSO BRING A HAPPY FACE AS IT WILL BE FUN........

The tracks through the river crossings should be fairly easy but it will get a bit muddy once a few vehicles have been through them. So you shouldnt be needing mud tyres or a big lift unless the have a flash flood through there.

Sorry - we can't make it either. We're going on a bit of a drive ourselves .... a simple 952km. Then another 550km the next day, and hoping for freezing rain. Yes - taking the family skiing at the NSW ski areas.

Hopefully we can make the next planned trip.
