I am trip leader for this touring /cultural/fun trip this year
Boxes are planning to drive out Friday 2/8/13 in the afternoon and return Sunday4/8/13 but as usual come when it suits you.
Good bitumen road all the way and well sign posted and maps supplied on website.
I suggest reading the info on the website www.tarafestivalncamels.org.au and go to the 2013 page.The FAQ sheet is particularly helpfull but there is lots of info there. Kids should enjoy this trip to the bush as much as the adults.
Admission- 1 day family(2 adults & 4 children) pass $20.00 Single $10.00
Weekend family pass $50.00 Single $25.00
I would plan to enter at least one team in the team challenge-which is as much fun to watch as to participate in!
It will be cold especially at night so bring warm coats,boots etc.
The plan will be to camp at the polocross fields next to the showgrounds(its Free)

Cheesemaker and Michele are in, hopefully we can travel out together? because I'll be 1043 years old by then.

At this stage we should be able to make it but depends if i can get time off

As we went there four years ago for a week and really enjoyed ourselves we would love to come but we are expecting an addition to the family (yes I know shock) early august so we cannot commit as yet.
Now we have to start picking babies names at our age.

I think we need some more information Steve??

Our number three grandchild is on the way.

only six weeks until the races so please look at the information on www.tarafestivalncamels.org.au
to decide if you can make it to this fun week end.
I have Friday off and am keen to travel out this day but
at this stage it looks like we may travel out early Saturday morning arriving at lunch time
Afternoon of camel races, team challenges, multicultural entertainment and food
Evening BBQ, music/bands and bar.
Free camping at the polo cross grounds.
Sunday morning can be a relaxed breakfast and departing back to Brisbane around lunch time to arrive back early evening in Brisbane.
This will be cold camping (my favourite) with fires permitted and wood supplied

Allan now has unforeseen work commitments at this time.
Of course anyone who is really keen to go this year is welcome to lead the trip
otherwise book it into the Trip Calendar for first week-end in August 2015
