Newbie from South side

Hi guys,

Just joined the forum as I'm looking to do some trips with my new (OLD) Pajero. Recently bought an old 92 Pajero as a project/second vehicle as the wife was sick of me taking the bus - go figure :eh:

Anyway, wasn't in too bad a condition for the money I paid so rather happy with the purchase. Since getting it I've got some new Coopers ATR's, a Uniden UHF, fixed a few bits of trim, replaced the neutral start switch and fiddled around with the throttle body and idle timings as it hept surging at the lights.

The biggest problem I have is the sunroof being all rusted, I've seen many others on Gumtree and fleabay that all seem to have the same problem. Anyway, picking one up from the wreckers on Sat and hope it's not rusty so I can get this last thing done.

It looks it's age but I'm not too worried about the panels as long as it stays reliable. My other car is a 2011 Xtrail and for what it is, it's a very capable off roader and have been to some fantastic places in this one and my previous one. Put my first one through it's paces alright but very hesitant with the new one as it's top of the range with leather and feels like I shouldn't push it too much, unlike my first one.

Well, hopefully I'll catch up with some of you off road someday but until then I hope to make some good contributions to some topics when I can.

Welcome!

Sounds like a good purchase apart from the sunroof. Unfortunately with old cars there's always some compromise you have to make. For the price though, you can't beat how much fun you can have.

Keep an eye on the trip calendar to see if you can make it along to any of the trips, will be good to see the Pajero in action.

1992 is the year when the best 4wd's were made!

I am sure you have seen the Trip Calendar section where all the future trips are advertised.

Welcome aboard.

I certainly hope 92 was a good year Ben.

Yes, I've looked at the trip section, would have loved to come along to the Nerang trip but unfortunately have something else booked up. I hope to get to the next meeting where I will join the club and then will look for what trips I can plan for. :drive:
