I may have the opportunity to go to the Victorian High Country possibly early Feb 2016 for around 3 weeks and would like to get some information about tracks routes and in particular places of interest.
If you have done the Victorian Highlands Could you please share any routes, tracks, experiences, highlights and particular places of interest to visit or camp etc..
If i am able to go I may also be looking for some other vehicles to go with and I may place it on the Breakaway trip calendar later but for now I Just want to gather the information first and see from there.
If you think you would be very keen on this also then please contact me.
Thanks
Gary

Re: Places of interest in the Victorian High Country
Hi Gary,
Though I can't make this trip, I'll have a look at the 4WD Action DVDs. I know there is at least one where they went into the Victorian High Country. It might have some good pointers.
Dave.

Re: Places of interest in the Victorian High Country
Arie and I did a little trip once between Bright and Mansfield. The Mt Sterling area just out of Mansfield was nice, there is a track that takes you to the summit of Mt Sterling at an altitude of about 2000m. There was one lone tree at the top to have your lunch under. Also Craigs Hut from the Man from Snowy River (although not the original from the movie as it has been burnt down 2-3 times) is in the area as well. Well worth the visit.
