Teewah - Double Island Point Sat 24/10
Posted: October 8th, 2015, 10:07 pm
Arie and I are looking to head up the beach for a day later this month. Low tide on the day in question is scheduled for 11-11:30, almost perfect for a trip up to the lagoon behind double island point. I say almost perfect, as it will require an early start from Brisbane. It would require an 8 am departure for the BP at Morayfield to be at the Noosa River ferry just after 9 (Arie and I would be meeting in comers at the Ferry as we will already be in Noosa). If some wanted to turn it into a camping weekend, go for your life.
The details:
Trip Leader: Mark
Where: Cooloola National Park
Costs: Vehicle Pass $11.75 per day and best purchased here http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/recreation- ... _fees.html. If camping, additional fees will apply.
Standard: Green
Meeting location: BP Service Centre Morayfield (last one there has to write up the trip report) for people coming from Brisbane, otherwise at the Tewantin Ferry for those traveling from Sunshine Coast. If you plan to attend, please post in this thread or we will not know you are coming.
Meeting time: 7:45 for 8:00am. Planned meeting time at the ferry of 9:15 am
UHF: Channel 13.
Bring along some lunch, a chair, camera and a some togs. If conditions are right, lunch at the lagoon would be nice. I will take the gazebo for some shade.
