Stanthorpe Foodie trip 10th and 11th June
Posted: May 30th, 2023, 2:10 pm
We are planning a Stanthorpe foodie style trip to have a sunset dinner at the Balancing Heart Vineyard. It is a chance to get together over a pizza and wine around a firepit (if the weather cooperates). With the 3 Corners Desert trip coming up we will be able to further discuss preparations.
Where: Stanthorpe area
Cost: Bring your wallet - Accommodation, meals and allow for purchasing wines / jams / beers / cheese etc at wineries etc
When: Saturday 10th June and Sunday 11th June.
Meeting Place: Vincenzo’s Café on the corner of New England Highway and Amiens Road Thulimbah at 1pm for a light lunch
UHF: Channel 13
Trip Leader: Don – 0407 030 693
Many people have already booked at the Boulevard Hotel.
Dinner – Balancing Heart Vineyard. Booked at 5pm but be there from 4:30.
On Sunday for those wanting to explore a new way home, we can go via Wallangarra (for breakfast) to Tenterfield which is only another 20km or so further on then back along the Mt Lindsay Highway. It is a road I haven't been along as yet but would like to check out. For those returning to Brisbane, it is probably slower but brings you in via Rathdowney and Beaudesert.
