After a little bit of dirt road driving, we arrived at Governors Chair and enjoyed the view and got a group shot

This is where it got exciting, we got to see what it is like behind, as Ben put it, "The Magic Gate".
The Telstra Track! So what was there?
A nicely mown track

Lots of yellow Telstra Tags

And a few mud holes

It was a nice little drive, it followed along a nice little stream in a few places, a wallaby was sited and there were a few empty pig traps as well. We did get to check the track out really well as just before we got to the final gate, Arie realised she had left her sunglasses on the first gate post - so we all turned around and did the track in reverse.
After finding the sunglasses and passing the through the mud puddles for a third time, we passed through another locked gate and ended up back on the western end of Spicers Gap Road. The road was in really good nick and we didnt realise at this stage that we were still in a gated section of the park.
We stopped for lunch at the western end of the blocked area of Spicers Gap Rd. We were held up departing, as apparently we weren't the only hungry critters, Dave had to save one of his sons from a leach.

From there we headed west out of the park. We did find another locked gate at the border of the park and fortunately the key worked and we were on the publicly accessible Spicers Gap Rd. The road condition deteriorated quickly (fortunately) and it was a good drive back to the black top. Ben dropped the key back to the ranger and we were on our way down Cunninghams Gap and home.
Here are a couple of other photos taken on the day
Some ruts

And to finish with some awesome flex
