Numinbah Valley Trip Nov 24

Post by cuboid »

We are planning another day trip behind locked gates - this time to Numinbah Valley in the Springbrook National Park. Bring your adventurous spirit as I dont believe any club members have been into this area before. The tracks include Waterfall Creek track, Red Hill track, Tagablum track and Loop track.

Trip Leader: Mark
Where: Numinbah Valley
When: Meet 8:45 for 9am departure
Meeting location: McDonalds Helensvale - Take exit 60, left on to Helensvale Rd, left onto Siganto Dr
Costs: Free
Standard: Blue Square
UHF: 13
Maximum of 10 cars for this trip

We have received permission for this trip, however it will be weather dependent as the tracks are controlled by National Parks.

I have spoken to the Ranger and it sounds like it will be a Blue Square trip. There are apparently 8 creek crossing along Waterfall Creek and a steepish climb on Loop track, but nothing a standard vehicle cant do. He believes there is a "few hours" of driving in the tracks listed. Depending on how much time is left after the tracks, we could head to Natural Bridge or up on to the Springbrook Plateau -I always enjoy Best of All lookout (when it is not clouded in).
