Mt Mee November 2009 [Recovered]

Post by Capella_Ben »

Today we sent on a day trip to MT Mee. Trip leader and organiser was Steve and he did a very good job!

Also there we had myself (Ben and family), Steve and Kim, Kelvin, Dave (Patrol) and son, Andy (Disco) and son.

It was hot and very dusty with no water in any of the creeks. Most of the interesting tracks were closed off. Some were restricted and some were prohibited. Will have to find out if it is possible to get access to the restricted tracks for the future. All the main tracks have been graded and are MUCH different to the last time we were there.

We went exploring a few side tracks with mixed success. One track started out OK, but turned into a walking trail.

Unfortunately I didn't take too many photos but here are some that I did take.

Here we went looking for an interesting track. Power lines are usually good for a bit of fun, but not in this case.

Here we are looking at a vertical cliff. And I mean a literal cliff. It would have been over 100m down.

We did find an interesting track near the end with this nice hill.

Steve had no problems.

There's a good looking Lux!

If anyone is interested, I logged our track with my GPS. I can make this available to anyone who wants it. Perhaps we should catalogue these?
