The weather was good, but then discovered the road to the river head was closed. Fearing the whole track was closed, we followed a detour sign. But luckily the track across the creeks was open.
The Prados had a good time crossing the creeks. Even cleaned out any remaining sand from under the body after the last few beach trips.

Other vehicles adventured offroad (off track) a little, and soon discovered how soft small peddles can be. Without the front hubs locked in, the vehicle went nowhere and slowly started to fill with water. A good opportunity to wash out the carpets on the floor.

After locking in the hubs, an exit was easy.
The remaining crossing were easy, and the whole track was nicely

Morning tea was at the Brown Falls day use area, and the playground was a big hit. Next was a 600m walk to the falls. The track involved climbing over roots, fallen trees, slippery rocks, etc, which was great fun for the kids.
There was the mandatory "floating of leaves" session by my kids.

The falls themselves were great, and a couple of borrowed kids went for a splash.

Next was a drive to Queen Mary falls, and it was a only a 5 minute walk to the lookout.

On a whole, it was a relaxing and scenic drive through some very green valleys and countryside.
