Saw the link for this forum on offroad80s. Trying to become more active with our rig and we're looking to join groups for trips away.
Hi and Welcome. Tell us a little more about yourself.
Our next trip is to LandCruiser Mountain park. You certainly have the right car for it.

G'day guys. We've owned our 80 since Dec 2010. Just about the only thing it doesn't have is air lockers. The most we've done in it is a couple of trips up DIP and the track that takes you to Rainbow. That was new to me. How long has it been like that? Anyway we took video and YouTubed it. Even showed us assisting a Patrol by standing around filming them use my tools.
We hit LCMP, but due to our lack of knowledge and ignorance we weren't sure which were the best tracks for novices. I've had 2 Patrols at different times of my life. A 1969 G60 and 1982 MQ with with a small block Chevy. Did a lot of beach driving with both. Both were great, but the 80 is something special. In the soft sand it's like sitting in a lounge chair on top of a water bed. Fantastic.
That's pretty much our 4wding experience. We're in our late 40's with a 24 year old son who lives with us and a 16 month old Dobermann.

Looks like we have a bit in common, we have a 25 year old son who still lives with us and his two dogs. I thought when he got engaged and bought his own house he may move out but I obviously haven't dropped the right hints.

Dipmaker, our boy is rather special. He depends on us. He won't be going anywhere. It would be wonderful if he could have a normal life, but that's never going to happen. The dobermann is mine
Well I hope that when you come along on some of our trips that he can have a great time and we can make it make something special for him.
