The trip postponed until we get warmer weather, without the likelihood of a storm in the evening.

Would you like to reserve Saturday 13th of Dec afternoon and evening for a "Champagne and Dinner on Bribie beach"? This is a proposed trip for people not available for the meteor shower trip.

The aim is to hit the beach at around 4:00pm, and stop at Lagoon #2. By 4:00pm the water temperature should be above 30 degrees, and we can play around for an hour or so. By 6:00pm, we can start dinner in the beach. As the sun sets (assuming the weather is good), the wind often dies down. We can then sit back, have dinner and champagne/beer, while the kids run around the lagoon area. The lagoon is just off the beach, so there is no risk of vehicle traffic.

Low tide is around 7:40pm, so there is no rush to get off the beach. Around 7:30pm to 8:30pm we can leave the beach and head home.

Anyone interested?
We will also need to check the weather a few days before, so this is only a proposed trip at this stage.

The Grinhams are also keen to come along.

We will keep our fingers crossed for good weather. The temperature should be ideal by mid Dec.

If the timing is right, we should also see a Cruise ship sail past just as we arrive on the beach.

I believe we have around 4 groups coming to this event so far. But the weather forecast doesn't look too good. I was hoping for a hot sunny day, we us arriving in the afternoon to probably take a dip in a really warm lagoon, and sit on the beach as the sun sets and a the gentle and cold breeze comes off the ocean. And don't forget the cold champagne/beer.

But it looks like it will be around 24 degrees, wet, overcast, and a good chance of a storm.

So - should we postpone for another time when it's a little sunnier/warmer?

Going on recent weather patterns, I vote we postpone. I'm not keen to go in the cold and the rain.
