That log bridge looks interesting and some very rocky areas that would just eat up my side steps some more. "Lockyer State Forest", I wonder if that is in the area behind the Murphy's Creek camp ground?

I think that is the spot behind the locked gates (near the prison). Did you take a photo of the sign they had up there? In theory the roads should now be open but I don't trust them.
