Perhaps we should include this as part of our maintenance program if you own a older 4wd, by replacing old HT bolts with new High Tensile bolts, especially around the recovery points such as Bullbars, Towbars, recovery hooks. Crossmembers should be checked, and lower and upper control arms when the bushes and other suspension components have scrubbed out and need replacing, remember these items will wear out so do it in the comfort of your driveway or your Mechanics workshop and not on a 4wd trip.
When was the last time you changed the brake fluid?????
