Legally you will need to fix it if your tyres stick out from the body, you may have seen some 4wd's getting around with the rubber strips around their wheel arches for this reason.
Rubbing "could possibly" be caused by the wheel offset on your new rims. My car has an offset of 38mm from centre. A few years ago i bought wheels from a SWB Frontera without knowing that they had an offset of 0 (deep dish). They were back on ebay after a couple of days as they scrubbed.

There is also a legal requirement for the Outer Diameter to be within 50mm of the standard size. This was only changed 10 months ago, as Qld once had a 15mm OD limit.

I just purchased (from ebay) a 2" Body lift KIT.
8 blocks & 8 HT bolts,washers and nuts all for $230.
Should be here by 3/10/13.

This should DEFINALTY stop my tyres from scrubbing.

Now i just have to figgure out how to install it... :eh:

Any pointers??

I thought the wheel offset was going to be a good idea/cheap.
So i called the tyre shop and asked about it... $110 per wheel to change the offset!

There goes that idea!

Driving around with you foot resting on the clutch is one possible cause of going through clutch bearings. Again I know this from personal experience. Luckily I did them all (2) in my 4cyl Cortina and its a 1 man job to drop a gearbox in and out. Interestingly i also bent a couple of clutch forks in that car as well. I also Snapped a tailshaft, cooked the motor (warped head), put a hole in the piston (in Stawell) and drove it through a fence. It was my pizza delivery car for 3 years while studying.
