Hi All,
Just updating the trip plan. We are planning a trip for Sat 2nd and Sun 3rd to Glendon Camping ground. Unfortunately this is the only weekend we are free this year. Glendon is a privately owned property that has it's own area to go 4x4ing, a large lake, etc. Have a look at their web site. http://glendoncamping.com.au/
We are bringing our trailer along to take on bikes for the kids as well.
We will probably camp, as it's usually very dry even when it's raining east of the range. But Glendon also has cabins available for $68 (up to 4 people) for those who want to bypass the "tenting" experience.
Where: Glendon
Cost: See below.
When: Saturday 2nd and 3rd of Dec.
Meeting Place: 9:00am at Aratula outside the bakery (where you can also buy a coffee)
UHF: Channel 13
Trip Standard: Green
Trip Leader: Dave
Glendon is about 75 minutes drive from Aratula.
Bookings : Cash to be paid at the office.
CAMPING FEES:
$24.00 (2 Adults) $5.00 (per Child) $13.00 (extra Adult)
Cabins Fees : $68/night (4 people), $16 per extra adult, $5 per extra child.
It's BYO firewood, but since I have the trailer, I'll bring enough firewood for everyone.

Please post on the forum if you are interested in coming along.
Would anyone else be interested in an overnight / camping trip to say Glendon. From memory, it was around 2 hours from Brisbane, i.e. not far from Warwick.
My kids have new-ish bikes, and were keen to take them offroad somewhere. And a place like Glendon would be ideal, i.e. not to hilly, and some easy 4x4ing around the property.
We are open to which weekend we go. Just depends on who is interested to come along and when everyone is free.
Cheers
David.

Re: Glendon Camping Trip
I'd be interested Dave, depending on the date. The only weekend I definitely can't do at the moment is 2nd & 3rd Dec.

Cos.

Same here - definitely interested but one of the weekends after 2nd and 3rd December would suit me best.

So far we have 1 group available on the 2nd/3rd, and 2 available after 2nd/3rd. Darn. I'll will have to put it to a vote maybe this Saturday.
Re: Glendon Camping Trip - 2nd and 3rd of Dec
I think we now have Cos, myself, Tracey, Keri and Paul along as well as David's crew on the 2nd and 3rd.
Dave,
Do we need to book for camping or just register when we get there?

Hi All,
Good question Don. We can pay (cash recommended) when we arrive. No bookings needed.
Although, if we stay in a cabin, it probably wouldn't hurt to book. The cabins are VERY cheap due to BYO bedding, and are almost the same cost as tenting for 6 people. Hmmmm ... tempting if the weather turns bad. The forecast is for a shower or two late Sunday afternoon. But Saturday could also see a light shower in the afternoon.
