Crystalvale is near Murwillambah, I have never been there but been told it is very good if it doesn't rain otherwise VERY slippery.
I went to Manar last Easter but didn't do any 4wd tracks as I was with bike riders but seems very good and the owners are very organised, it is a HUGE park.

Hi, went 4 a drive yesterday. Started at caboolture and went up2 Landcruiser Mountain Park for a look. From there we went down Sunday Creek Road through 2 Kenilworth via the Conondale National Park and Parts of the Jimna State Forest. A very beautiful scenic drive. We then got on the bruce highway from the Eumundi-Noosa Heads on ramp 2 head back 2 Morayfield.
There r alot of beautiful camp areas through the Conondale National Park, Imbil and Jimna State Forests. Well worth checking them out. Would b great quiet weekends away, great scenic views.
Along our travels i collect alot of information on plenty of places to go for day trips as well as weekends away. I will bring all information i have with me on 1 of the next trips when i meet u guys.
Heaps and heaps of tracks i am keen 2 give a go and see where they go 2 and what new places i can find :)

yeah i love just jumping in my fourby with the fam and just driving, not planning on going anywhere, but always ending up somewhere. i have trouble finding people like me who wanna just fill up and drive. most people just don't c the joy in it and what u can get out of unplanned drives. i love the different views, different places, trying new things. the kids love all the different things they get 2 c, touch and do and it makes 4 interesting show and tell 4 them at school.

I will call Scenic Rim tomorrow and post in the trip thread by lunch. Given that Beaudesert is showing 90 mm of rain since 4am this morning, i am not holding my breath.
