Flannagans Reserve

Post by maverick01 »

We are going to Flannagans Reserve on the 17th and 18th of March. http://www.flanaganreserve.com.au

Meeting place will be Mcdonalds at Beaudesert at 8:30 on the 17th for a 9:00am departure.

Flannagans consists of flushing toilets and yes ladies proper showers, there is a nice creek there also which allows fishing and kayaking, so if you have a kayak or canoe please bring it along.

Flannagans also allows dogs.

The fees are as follows $8.00 per person per night.
If anyone has a cricket set or football feel free to bring it along.

Now the activites we could be doing while out there are either a day trip to Oreillys, City View 4WD park, Scenic Rim 4wd Park or even a trip out to Aratula and if we decide to do Aratula then Ben can lead that trip as he has a spot in mind on where he wants to visit.

Sounds good to me and my vote would be for Aratula but cannot commit yet because of that four letter word WORK.

I would prefer Aratula as well. Greg, the website states $8.00 per night each for camping. Have you managed to wangle a special deal for us?

I just talked to the Scenic Rim Council works department and Duck Creek Road is now open, so that gives us another option.

I am posting this from flannagans and the creek is running beautifully and there is plenty of room for the dogs but we won't be bringing ours as if we do a day trip into mount barney you can't take dogs. There is toilets and showers located near the office but depending on where you camp it could be a long walk or a short drive for Steve but if everyone is happy for me to try to reserve the camp ground which is where we are I can try but keep in mind as I said its a but if a walk or you could bring your own portable toilet. The camp ground where we are camped is beside the creek and it's really quite and very spread out in a gully.
