With all the rain we have had near the coast, perhaps we will have more luck inland a bit. Glendon Camping Grounds is a place I have wanted to go to for a while. There are a few activities there; camping, 4WDing, bird watching, fishing, buskwalking and gold panning.
Where: Glendon Camping Grounds (http://www.glendoncamping.com.au)
Cost: TBD (If I can get numbers I will try to book a group site)
When: Saturday 9th March
Meeting Place: Aratula Shell at 9:00am(last one there has to write up the trip report)
UHF: Channel 13
Trip Standard: Expected to be Black Diamond
Please register your interest and I'll try to book a group camping site.
I have talked to the manager. Here is their price list.
So I was thinking that we get unpowered sites. There should also not be a problem with the 10am checkout time (talked to the manager about that). She also said that if I can get numbers to her soon we can get a group discount.
We will have to also pay $16.50 per vehicle per day to 4WD.
The weather there has been good. A little rain today, but it has been pretty dry. The forecast (for Warwick) looks encouraging as well. It will be a great trip!
