Bribie Island beach run Sat 3rd Feb - cancelled due to rain

Greetings,

Dave and I were considering an afternoon trip to Bribie Island over Australia Day weekend but the tide times just didn't suit. However next weekend - Saturday 3rd February - the tides are looking great for an afternoon run.

The plan is to meet behind the BP servo (see details below) then run up the inland track, along the main beach to the WWII bunkers, and then back down the beach to "First Lagoon", for the kids to have a splash while we cook up a bit of dinner and soak up the atmosphere. Hopefully there will be a nice sunset over the lagoon - without storms this time.
Low tide should be around 5.30pm, so there is no rush to be off the beach.
I'm planning to bring my frypan, stove and a pile of croissants, cheese and ham - so unless you want to cook something fancier, just bring chairs drinks and hats. Let me know if you are coming so I know how many packets of croissants to throw in.
(You can blame Dave for starting me on the croissants)
The new guys are of course very welcome.

Cost: Requires a beach permit. Log into http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au book your beach permit online. A one month and one year permit is available.
When: Saturday 3rd February 2.00 pm.

Sorry all - I Checked the latest forecast and weather radar - it appears we could expect rain and cold - not beach weather for the kids (or adults) today. I'll reschedule this trip for another weekend after the Straddie trip.
