Bribie Island 23rd January 2021

Post by GridPack »

Greetings,

We haven't been to Bribie Island for quite a while so I'm keen to see what the tracks and beach is like after the wild weather we had not too long ago.
If the weather is ok - bearing in mind there is cyclone Kimi hanging around North Queensland, I'm proposing an morning trip on Saturday 23rd January.

The plan is to meet behind the BP servo (see details below) at 8:30am, then run up the inland track, and then back down the beach to Woorim, I plan to be off the beach by lunchtime or thereabouts.

Where: Bribie Island
Cost: Requires a beach permit. Log into http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au book your beach permit online. A one month and one year permit is available.
When: Saturday 23rd January.
Meeting Place: Meet at the carpark just behind the BP Servo (BP, Cnr Goodwin Dve & Hornsby Rd Hornsby Road, Bribie Island QLD 4507)
UHF: Channel 13
Trip Standard: Green
Trip Leader: Don

Hi "Gridpack" :) 3 of us would love to come along. We plan to also have lunch at the SLSC (if we can) and then possibly going for a dip in the lagoon (depending on miss Indy).
Cheers Ben and Mariana and Indiana

Sounds like it just the FJ Cruisers!
Ben, The SLSC sounds like a great idea assuming it is open.
I'm bringing my Granddaughter Chelsea so a dip in the lagoon will be hard to bypass.
In fact we may do it before lunch if that suits. I think there are showers at Woorim - or I may be thinking of somewhere else.
Cheers,
Don

Definately cold showers at the patrolled beach. Indy will be stoked to hear Chelsey will be there.
Makes more sense to swim first and then stop for lunch after we exit the beach.
I better get some sleep.
Cheers Ben and Mariana and Indiana
