Hello All,
an Itinerary for a trip to the Kimberley WA is now being formulated by Catton/Box members.
At this stage we are planning for 6 weeks, leaving mid July 2012.
Highlights may include
Kununurra,Bungle Bungles,Mitchell Plateau & falls,Barramundi Fishing,Broome ,Derby,El Questro, Lake Argyle,Plenty Hwy and Gibb River Road
Lots of fun, rest ,relaxation as well as the odd challenge.
Currently we have 3 vehicles but would welcome more club members to join in-if not for the entire trip then perhaps part of ,would be possible ?
Stay tuned for updates
Karen

Adding to Karen's original post on our old forum, this is our itinerary for our Kimberley Trip next year, 6 weeks in all. Thanks very much to Allan for putting this together.

Over the coming months we will include more detail. An overview is travelling via Boulia Qld to Alice Springs NT via the Plenty Highway, Alice Springs NT to Halls Creek WA via the Tanami Track, Broome, up to Cape Leveque and back, onto Derby, then the Gibb River Road, divert to Mitchell Falls and Kalumburu, back to the Gibb River Road, onto Wyndham, Kunanurra, Lake Argyle, Bungle Bungle, Dumarra NT (Sturt Highway) to Tennant Creek NT and Mt Isa Qld , onward to home eventually via the bitumen.

We now have 2 vehicles (Boxes and Cattons) but we encourage all of you to consider joining us.

Kim

Looks like it's going to be an awesome trip.

You're going to see the big crocodile and the "big lady sitting on rock by water"

The big croc is worth a visit, though it is bigger than the real thing.
The pub is the place to go, looks very ordinary from the outside, and from the inside for that matter.
But order the Barra and chips, very nice and it is real fresh Barra, none of that frozen rubbish.
Oh yeah, the beer's good too :D

The planning is well under way for this trip. Just trying to fine tune a few things. We have 3 other couples interested in joining the trip now as well, which is great.

Will keep you updated as to any changes.
